Elevate your journey into the aviation industry with our GCAA-approved CAT A1 license course. Designed as a task-based license, the CAT A1 empowers you to independently sign off on specific aircraft tasks, fostering practical expertise.

As a CAT A1 license holder, you gain the authority to validate your contributions to aircraft maintenance, while also enjoying a streamlined entry into the aviation sector. With its efficient curriculum, this course accelerates your industry entry, allowing you to make your mark in record time.

The student is required to have good knowledge of general English language and of the technical English terms used in Aviation.

This course follows CAR66, Appendix I “BASIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS.

The students will acquire the basic technical knowledge and principles necessary to fulfill the requirements for the application of an aircraft maintenance License and conditions of its validity and use, for maintaining airplanes.

The students will also acquire the basic technical knowledge and principles necessary to perform maintenance tasks permitted to be carried out as Certifying Mechanic category A1.

Duration: 2 years

After completion of 1 year of theoretical and practical training at Sarsan Aviation, the students will be doing 1 year of OJE (On Job Experience) with our partner organizations at one of the local airports in order to be qualified to apply for their CAT A1 license.

Number of Participants (Theory): Maximum 15

Number of Participants (Practical): Recommended 5 (5 student per each practical instructor)

Mode of delivery: This course is offered on a full-time basis and in campus where students have to attend classes from Monday to Friday (9.00 AM till 4:00 PM).

Examination: Module examination, closed book, multiple-choice examination type and / or essay questions.

Pass mark per module examination: 75%.

After successful completion of theoretical and practical training including Phasor examination (Semester/Term Examinations) and Assessments the “Certificate of Recognition” will be issued to the students.
